Darren Kelley
Darren is Senior Paralegal at Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy. Darren completed his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from George Washington University. Darren lives on the Peninsula with his wife and their daughter.
Regardless of whether children have positive or negative role models they are our future - and our generation’s legacy. Because I desire a brighter future for my own daughter, I chose to be involved with an organization whose impact on children is positive.
Michael Wong D.D.S
Michael has been practicing General Dentistry in San Mateo with an emphasis in cosmetic dentistry since 1983. Michael completed his undergraduate study at the University of the Pacific and completed his DDS at the University of California at San Francisco. A life-long Bay Area resident, he lives on the Peninsula with his wife Dee Dee and their two sons.
It was important for me to be involved with an organization that was looking out for the well-being of children. The Boys & Girls Club's after- school programming introduces and engages students in science, technology, art and sports- offering a safe place to go after-school and eliminating social-pressures that kids may encounter on the streets.
Lynnel Callagy
Lynnel is a Certified Public Accountant and owner of Callagy’s Accounting and Tax Practice, providing CFO/Controller services to small and median size companies. Lynnel completed both her Bachelor of Arts and her Master of Business Administration at the College of Notre Dame de Namur. Lynnel lives on the Peninsula and is a City of Belmont Finance Commission member.
I have always had a deep affinity for children, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances. The Boys and Girls Club provides a safe place for children to go after school where they will continue to be enriched so they can reach their full potential as responsible citizens.

Steve is an independent director and advisor in the high-tech industry. Steve completed his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Brown University and his Masters of Management at MIT Sloan. He lives on the Peninsula with his wife and their two daughters.
The Mid-Peninsula Boys & Girls Club is a wonderful organization that serves a vital role in our area. I am excited to have the opportunity to contribute to the continued success of the Club.
William Knuff
William is a private equity investment professional with over eight years of early/growth stage investment experience, specializing in international private equity, mergers and acquisitions. William completed his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin and his Master of Business Administration from the Johnson Graduate School of Business, Cornell University. Will lives on the Peninsula with his wife and their two children.
Children are our future. Every child, regardless of circumstance, deserves a positive environment that helps young people develop their skills and talents.
Steve House
Steven is the managing partner of the Outback Steakhouse in Daly City. In addition to running a restaurant with a staff of about 70, he is invloved with the community, sponsoring many different fundraisers throughout the year. Steven attended the University of Texas. He lives on the Peninsula with his wife and son.
I have had the opportunity over the last two years to be involved with many different events at the Boys and Girls Club and learn what they do. I believe these clubs are crucial to the children and parents in the community. They not only keep the kids off the streets, but provide them with the skills and discipline needed to succeed in life.

Jan Baer
Jan is an Independent Investment Advisor with Woodbury Financial Services, Inc. specializing in Group Retirement Plans, Insurance and Estate Planning. Jan completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Dramatic Arts with a Minor in German from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Jan lives on the Peninsula with her husband and their daughter.
The Boys and Girls Club had a positive impact on me during my formative years. I emigrated to the United States as a young child and had parents who worked around the clock. The Club provided a safe environment for me to go after school before my parents came home from work. Now, I want to give something back and help create positive experiences for the children in our community.
Dan Cooperider
Dan is an attorney who has worked both in the public and private sectors over the last fifteen years. Dan completed his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of California, Berkeley; his Juris Doctorate and his Legum Magister (LL.M) in Tax Law from Golden Gate University. Dan lives on the Peninsula and is the proud father of two teenage children.
I am grateful for all that has been given to me over the years. As a member of the Board of Directors, I have found a way to give back to those who need us most.

Flor is a Financial Planner with LPL in San Mateo. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Golden Gate University. Flor lives with her husband and two children in San Mateo.
I love kids. I wanted to be able to work with an organization that affords youth the opportunity to grow in a positive and safe enviornment.

Liz Mayta
Liz is a Certified Public Accountant and has a CPA firm in downtown San Mateo. She holds her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from California State University, Chico. A native San Franciscan, Liz lives on the Peninsula and has a daughter in high school and one in college.
The Boys & Girls Club opened their doors for my volleyball team for low income girls. I wanted to give back to the organization and being a Board Member allows me to do that.
Mark Bernard
Mark is a Financial Advisor with LPL in San Mateo. He has worked as a financial advisor for over ten years, holding Series 7, 63 and 65 Licenses. Mark lives on the Peninsula with his wife and their two children.
As a native San Matean, I enjoyed many great activities as a youth. Now, as an adult, I want to be able to give back in a positive way to my community- in particular, to youth.
Robert Dean
Robert Dean is Founder and President of Harmony Capital LLC- a private investment advisory firm in Redwood City. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of San Diego and is a CFA Charterholder. He lives on the Peninsula with his wife and their two daughters.
My late father-in-law was a long-time supporter of the Club. His interest, and the success of the Club’s focus on supporting our local youth, inspired me to get involved.
James Lutz
James is a Purchasing Manager for DeVincenzi Metal Products. James is a single father, blessed to be raising three beautiful children on the Peninsula.
My children have been attending the Club for over four years - it has become a major part of our lives. The Club affords me the luxury of knowing that my kids are in a safe, nurturing environment with staff that cares about their future.
Sarah P. Burdick
Sarah is a Deputy District Attorney representing San Mateo County, assigned to the General Felony Trial Unit. Sarah completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, San Diego and her Juris Doctorate at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Sarah lives on the Peninsula.
I'm a Club alumnus. When I was a kid I loved spending my summers at the Boys & Girls Club. Now, I want to give back to a program that develops life skills that every child should have. I want to help children succeed, so I don't see them later down the line in the criminal justice system
