Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) and the Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA) developed in partnership, a comprehensive cause-marketing program. BRSO identified BGCA as their primary cause-marketing partner.
This marketing program engages Teammates (employees) and Bosses (customers) to build an understanding of BGCA programs and their impact in order to raise funds through consumer contributions, promotions and supporting local clubs through Teammate volunteer activities.
The BSRO partnership focuses on a key BGCA movement-wide goal of serving more members more often by increasing average daily attendance (ADA). Over the course of our partnership, BSRO has raised more than $6 million with the help of customers who round up at the register and through the support of key vendor partners.
On Tuesday, May 21, 2019, our local Bridgestone and Firestone Team and key vendor AutoZone, hosted members from the Mid-Peninsula Boys and Girls Club for the 2019 Car Care Academy. The event educated our members about automotive safety and care.
A big and special thanks to our hosts, Bridgestone, Firestone, and Autozone for answering our members’ STEM and career exploration questions. Our members learned about careers options in the automotive manufacturing and retail sector.
