DeLue Members Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

DeLue members celebrated Hispanic Heritage month in September. Members colored butterflies and made some paper butterflies collage onto larger butterfly wings so they can make as "wall art". The butterfly project represents both self-harm and migration. The self-harm is showing to add a butterfly instead of hurting ourselves/another and the migration is to share the monarch butterflies migrating/transforming into movement/growth.

"The Butterfly project helped me learn that you shouldn’t harm yourself."

- Natalie L. 8th grade

"I learned that butterflies migrate depending on the season. And that it helped me think that things change for a good reason and doesn’t hurt yourself." - Catherine P. 8th Grade
