First week of Summer Camp at Bayshore was filled with excitement, engaging programs and familiar faces. Bayshore grew in numbers throughout the week averaging close to 50 happy members every day.
Bayshore staff helps youth stay engaged with educational activities and avoid summer learning loss. Through Fitness, Circuit Stations, Health Talk, Arts & Crafts, Reading, Writing, Math, Triple Play, Brain Game, Chess, Walking Club, STEM, 49ers Prep Flag Football, Field trips and Friday Water Battle, Bayshore fill summer days with fun and academically stimulating experiences to ensure that members continue to learn year round!
This week, 38 members visited our Fire Station neighbors - Station 43. We were able to experience what is life like as Firefighters- their daily responsibilities, schedule, who cooks. C Unit kept members engaged and was about to take a tour when a call came in. Our member saw first hand how firefighters geared up and how fast they needed to respond. The field trip ended with Q & A to address questions members might have about our First Responders. We will definitely finish the tour before Summer ends!
