Giving Tuesday is December 1
Updated: Dec 2, 2020
This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to celebrate the holiday season by giving back and creating change for our youth. Every dollar raised for the Mid-Peninsula Boys & Girls Club supports our under-served members, and enables staff to thrive as support systems for our youth during this global crisis.
$25 will provide one school supply kit
$50 will cover the costs of one STEM kit
$100 will provide access to our learning hub for one student
$150 will provide technology for our Keystone podcast series
$250 will supply one Chrome Book for one student
Our current programs and activities include:
Learning Hubs: Youth’s vulnerability in the wake of incredible uncertainty emboldened Mid-peninsula Boys & Girls Club to provide crucial essential services to underserved youth in San Mateo County. We are one of the very few low or no cost providers for these youth and are working to maintain academic standards, child wellness, and mental health support. Read more about our work here.
Teens Creating a Platform for Self-Expression: Teened Magazine is a publication created by teens, about teens, and for teens! Founded by one of our current Youth of the Year program members, Akeyla T., the goal of the magazine is to elevate the voices of youth in the Bay Area, and provide a platform for self-expression!
Listen to our Teen Podcast: This summer MPBGC teen members started their own podcast, Stay at Home with Keystone! and a Day in the Life of Quarantine. Our Keystone teens are using their time at home to make connections with powerful women who are leaders in their field.
