March for Our Lives 2019 at Burlingame High School

Members had an opportunity to meet new people and learn about what advocacy looks like at a local level. We linked it to the programs we do at the Club and to the role of Torch Club and Keystone! Members where very open to sharing ideas and learning about what young people are doing to have their voices heard:

"I love digging into these topics" - Jade, MCYC

"I liked how inspirational it was a that it didn't matter your age to protest about gun violence, as well as learning how to spread awareness on a problem that needs to be stopped"

- Ashley, Dore

" I liked when David [Boggs] described what happened during the shooting because it shows how serious it was."

- Ruhi, Dore

"The young people will win", "We learned that we have a voice and that voice is our power to speak up."

- IC, Delue
