On Friday, April 26th members from the Mid-Peninsula Boys and Girls Club at the DeLue clubhouse hosted a "Chopped Challenge" Themed Cooking Showcase!
For the the month of April, members prepared food on a budget and used only the materials and ingredients available at the Club. Members had to rely on their creativeness and past knowledge to figure out what to make each week. For the “Chopped Challenge”, we put them to the test- members were divided into two teams, each led by a high school member to create a dish using our mystery ingredients, donated by our community partner Second Harvest Food Bank. The food was then judged by their peers to select the winner! At the end of the night, our teams made a curry rice chicken taco with eggs & chorizo with eggs and stir-fried bell peppers and zucchini.
