Awesome way to start the day with volunteers of all ages coming together from the community to feed the community. Today, I was assisted by a retired couple who asked last week if they can help on Fridays, a mother-daughter tag team who happened to drive by and had free time, 2 grateful "Regulars" and 10 Skyline/CSM students who helped with the Clean-Up and carry the groceries into the building before putting in work in the gym.
Volunteers prepped bags, sort items, carried potato sacks, break down boxes, laughed and shared life stories. Today was a good example of Acts of Kindness in the community. For me, personal reminder to keep focus on good intentions and good things come when you least expect them.
