On Saturday, July 15th, The Mid-Peninsula Boys and Girls Club hosted our volunteer appreciation carnival. Because we rely on the hard work from our volunteer staff, we thought it was only appropriate to host an event in their honor. The event consisted of games, food, awards, and fun. Jeff, our Board President, made his famous (delicious) paella that people gobbled up, and numerous awards were given to standout volunteers who have spent their time and energy to help improve our community. Some of the programs acknowledged were Girls Who Code, The Science Action Club, Project Learning: Tutoring, and The In-House Futsal League.
Following the award ceremony, the members, staff, and volunteers joined in the gym for some fun carnival games. Kids made slime, played pin the tail on the donkey, basketball, and participated in many other activities in order to further build our close community here at the Mid-Peninsula Boys and Girls Club. We love you volunteers!
